  • BaleGuard® 140 g/m² – protective coating for hay, straw and grain.

    BaleGuard® is a professional protective cover for storing hay, straw bales and grain outdoors. The breathable, water-repellent polypropylene non-woven material helps protect the crop from rain, wind, UV rays and dirt, while allowing moisture to escape from the inside.

    Due to its water-repellent properties and UV stability, the coating is suitable for long-term outdoor use. It is a practical solution for farms that want to reduce the need for storage facilities and maintain better quality of hay, straw or grain during storage.

    Usage: for outdoor storage

    Usage recommendations:

    • Stack the bales so that the top forms a slope of at least 45°.
    • Tighten the covering well and secure it with fixing nails or silage bags.
    • It is recommended to leave a gap of about 50 cm from the edge of the covering to the ground.
    • When applying in multiple layers, the overlap should be at least 25 cm, and in windy areas - at least 35 cm.
    • It is recommended to store bales raised off the ground, for example on pallets, to improve natural ventilation and reduce the risk of rainwater ingress.
    • Before applying, pay attention to the marking on the coating that indicates which side should face outwards.

    Important:

    BaleGuard® is not a regular plastic tarpaulin and is not a completely airtight covering. It is a breathable, water-repellent protective material that helps water run off the surface and allows moisture to escape from the inside. For best results, it is recommended to stack bales correctly, tighten the cover well and secure it securely.
