PRODUCT CHARACTERISTICS
Siltac® is a revolutionary plant protection product. It uses a purely physical mechanism to control agricultural pests and is based on 3D-IPNS (three-dimensional immobilizing polymer network) technology. Siltac® contains polymeric substances, mainly silicone polymers. When applied to plants, these compounds form a specific structure on the surface of the pest’s body – a thin, sticky film. At the molecular level, this is a three-dimensional polymer network. This structure immediately immobilizes pests and quickly destroys them. Typically, the effectiveness of this product treatment is 85–95 %.
Unlike chemical plant protection products, Siltac® has no toxic or biochemical effect on pests. The product contains no conventional pesticides, therefore its use leaves no pesticide residues on plants.
Due to its physical mechanism of action, it does not promote the selection of pesticide-resistant pests even with repeated use.
Siltac® is ideally suited for use in integrated plant protection. It offers an alternative to chemical pest control measures.
