Front double roller DUPLEX®

TECHNOLOGIES: 

DUPLEX® 45, Ø45 cm diameter. 

Wear-resistant spheroidal cast iron. Robust “Prism Roller®” roller designed for medium and heavy loose soil friability. Rollers with a rigid frame are available from 1.50 to 4 meters working width. Working widths from 4 to 6 meters are hydraulically foldable.

The Duplex® roller is designed for heavy tractors and high speeds. Suitable for light sandy and heavy clay soils.

Rigid, non-folding design with a working width from 1.50 to 4 meters. Hydraulically foldable design with a working width from 4 to 6 meters.

Applications of Duplex®: 

The powerful front unit can be used flexibly all year round:

• For sugar beet, maize or vegetable seedbed preparation in spring.
• For rape or winter cereal seeding in autumn.

Some models can also be used for seedbed preparation using rear tines.

The tines can be attached or removed quickly. Rear rollers can also be used at any time. 

Hydraulic folding ensures safe transport and compact storage even for large working widths. 

Three-point hitch for attaching a two-row harrow combination with tines at the rear. 

The “Duplex®” prism roller without tine harrows can, of course, be mounted at the front or rear without any additional modifications. On request, we can supply a rear three-point hitch that allows the “Duplex” roller unit with tine harrows to be used in any rear position.

• For levelling winter furrows in late autumn or winter in light frost conditions.
• Before drilling, drying wet ground.
• For seedbed preparation for maize, etc. 

System of modular structural units.

The tine attachments are fastened with just three bolts, so they can be removed in no time. This means the “Duplex-Prismenwalze®” can also be used on its own. For example...

• rolling after sowing
• together with rotary harrows – for preparing seedbeds for rape, winter barley, sugar beet, soybeans, maize, etc.
• rolling cover crops
• breaking down soil crusts on covered seeds. 

Remove the tine mounting unit and use the two-row harrow located behind the rotary harrows.

DUPLEX system as a support for the front tank.

Without the tine harrow attachment, the two-section combination has space to fit a front tank for fertilizer or seed. Positive effect:

During operation

• Without the two-section front tank support system, the tractor is heavily overloaded during operation, and the soil may be damaged due to soil compaction.
• Since “Duplex” supports the front tank during operation,
• during operation the tractor rests on the ground only with its own weight.
• The weight of the front tank promotes soil settling and re-compaction, creating a good seedbed.
• The front axle sinks only slightly, so no structural damage is expected.

The folding “Duplex DX 420-45” planter carries a front tank for maize planting.

Additional front roller...

The trailed design of this planter, especially together with a full seed hopper, significantly reduces the load on the front axle. However, appropriate tractor ballasting during operation noticeably increases the front axle weight. As a result, the front axle is forced to dig deeply into the ground, and the rear implement is forced to work too deep in order to clear the tracks. In addition, this can lead to soil compaction problems caused by the front axle. Our front rollers offer the solution to this problem! The two-section unit at the front of the planter not only actively crumbles the soil and ensures the required contact, but also levels it. This allows the planter to place seed more precisely and evenly, so seedlings emerge healthy and uniform.

On request, a drawbar with running gear can be purchased. Optionally, a tine attachment device can be added. This allows the trailed tillage implement to be used on its own or together with a cultivator, disc harrow or, as shown here, a planter.
