Glass fiber reinforced plastic (GRP) is a material made of plastic and glass fiber, i.e., a fiber-plastic composite. It consists of glass fiber and epoxy, vinyl ester, or polyester resin. The resin determines the shape of the final product and makes it fire-resistant. The glass fiber provides high strength.
The sand container and lid are made of glass fiber reinforced plastic:
