Log grapple RZ 4.0

Hauer mobile tongs were specially designed for use in a three-point pulling system to extract logs from accessible locations in the forest. 

Hauer mobile tongs consist of a sturdy guide blade with a serrated bar on the inner edge, which helps to support and better secure the position of the load. The boom is made of a hexagonal tube, which is extended centrally. The boom has plastic pull-out jaws, which allow extension with minimal wear. The boom can be telescopic by 700 mm and rotated 45° to both sides, making it possible to pull timber that transport tongs normally cannot reach. The transport tongs are made of extremely strong fine-grain steel, which ensures maximum stability. All bearings have lubricated bronze bushings. 

Long service life thanks to a special hinge 

Since the rotator can absorb forces only in the longitudinal direction and not in the lateral direction, the high-quality continuous rotator with a lifting capacity of 4.5 tons is connected to the timber tongs via a special linkage. This linkage ensures that the rotating unit is always under tension and not bent, protecting it from damage when disconnected and extending its service life.
