Single-disc spreader with improved lateral distribution of molluscicides up to a distance of 30 m.

LIMAX ® was developed to achieve optimal and uniform distribution, especially when spreading slug pellets over large working widths. This is possible thanks to a completely new design of the spreading plate with two throwing blades, a guiding device and an adjustable feed point. 
The working width (from 3 to max. 30 m) can be conveniently adjusted from the driver's seat via the LAS4 control panel or in the LISA app through the stepless spreading disc speed. Material transfer through the hopper directly into the center of the spreading plate creates an optimal point for distributing the material across the spreading plate.

Uniform distribution thanks to optimal lateral distribution

With the help of the adjustable slide (+\/-20°) and 45 different settings for each throwing blade, the lateral distribution can be flexibly adjusted depending on the material being spread, achieving a uniform spreading pattern that previously seemed possible only with a twin-disc spreader. The slide gate geometry and low-friction guide also ensure that even small amounts of sand can be applied in thin doses, and the risk of the slide gate jamming is minimal.

In addition to precise working width adjustment via the stepless spreader disc speed setting, all other switching functions can also be carried out directly on the control panel from the driver's seat, e.g., on\/off, spreader adjustment. slider. metered quantity, voltage check, etc. The control panel also provides visual and audible warnings when the minimum quantity in the hopper is reached and the slide position has not been reached.

Best spreading pattern 

Tests carried out by the RSTEA test institute showed that LIMAX ® achieved slug pellet spreading results that were previously possible only with a twin-disc spreader of this quality. 

LIMAX ® achieved 11.7% CV at a working width of 30 m, and 9.3% at a working width of 28 m – the lower the CV value (coefficient of variation), the more uniform the spreading pattern. The throwing blades were arranged as follows: throwing blade 1: hole 3 \/ point 1, throwing blade 2: hole 3 \/ point 5, spreading plate speed: 2500 rpm.
