Glass reinforced plastic (GRP) is a material made of plastic and fiberglass, i.e., a fiber-reinforced plastic composite. It consists of fiberglass and epoxy, vinyl ester or polyester resin. The resin determines the shape of the final product and makes it fire-resistant. Fiberglass provides high strength.
The sand container and lid are made of fiberglass-reinforced plastic:
