Glass fibre reinforced plastic (GRP) is a material made from plastic and glass fibre, i.e. a fibre-plastic composite. It consists of glass fibre and epoxy, vinyl ester or polyester resin. The resin determines the shape of the finished product and makes it fire-resistant. The glass fibre provides high strength.
The sand container and lid are made of glass fibre reinforced plastic:
