Excellent control – POLARO® M /L/XL

POLARO® M, L and XL are “salt spreaders” that are also ideally suited for large-scale and precisely metered spreading of gravel, sand or fertilizer. There is no need for a vehicle with hydraulic drive or a PTO shaft. The spreader is simply mounted on a platform vehicle with a 12 V connection and sufficient payload, and you are ready to go. Thanks to its dimensions, POLARO® M is also particularly suitable for mounting on vehicles such as sweepers.
If you plan to spread only sand and gravel, we optionally offer a factory-installed reinforced auger drive. The continuously adjustable spreading width and spreading quantity are easily controlled directly on the control unit, regardless of the spreading material, and can be conveniently adjusted while driving.
POLARO ® L offers:
- Control panel for easy and convenient operation of all functions from the driver’s seat (standard equipment)

- Polyurethane container with auger conveyor and vibrator with automatic activation, ensuring a constant material flow
- As standard, all metal parts are made of stainless steel.

POLARO ® L and POLARO ® XL are available for an additional charge with a container extension, which increases, for example, the road salt capacity to approx. 750 kg for POLARO ® L and to approx. 1000 kg for POLARO ® XL.

In addition to continuous adjustment of the spreading disc speed to set the working width, the control panel can also be used to centrally control all other functions, such as:
- Variable auger speed to control the application rate, and a boost function to briefly deliver more sand when required (ice formation).
- Three memory buttons (P1–3) for individual assignments.
- Automatic free start of the auger conveyor
- Empty notification, residual emptying, service requests, etc.

All materials are designed to meet the special requirements of winter operation. As standard, not only are all metal parts made of stainless steel, but all cables and individual geared motors are also protected against the ingress of dust and water (IP67). The container is made of heat-resistant, weatherproof and waterproof polyurethane, which dampens vibrations and does not become brittle.
Adjustable spreading pattern.
The spreading plate can be manually adjusted slightly to the left or right using two adjustment screws. This allows, for example, sand to be spread directly onto the adjacent footpath or cycle path when gritting the road.
Height-adjustable spreading plate.
To achieve the desired results regardless of the vehicle, the height of the spreading plate (recommended: 0,40 - 0,80 m to the road) can be quickly adjusted depending on the vehicle type.
Vibrator with automatic activation.
The auger conveyor transports sand from the container to the spreading unit. If the flow is blocked, the standard vibrator switches on automatically and, if necessary, loosens the sand in the container so it can flow again.
