Pheromone traps are ideal for reducing the number of harmful moths and beetles in your crops.

    Pest biology:

    Pest: plum fruit moth
    Latin name:
    Grapholita funebrana
    Plant:
    plum

    1 trap set consists of:

    - 1 trap body (WitaTrap® Delta Super trap),
    - 2 sticky bases (packed separately!),
    - 2 pheromone lures (packed separately!),
    - 1 hanging wire for assembly and
    - detailed instructions. description.

    Main symptoms:

    • Fruit eaten by larvae
    • Often there will be a gummy bead in the drilled hole.
    • The flesh around the core is destroyed
    • The fruits remain unripe and fall prematurely.

Flight period of the first generation: May and June months (usually in the evening)
Main flight period of the second generation: from July to August (usually in the evening)

    Use:

Depending on the intended use, assemble the trap and fasten it with the supplied wire. (Exact assembly instructions and scope of application are described in detail for each pheromone trap.) To prevent the pest from being attracted directly to the protected plants, the trap should be hung, for example, on another nearby tree. If this is not possible, the trap can be attached to a stake. Hang the trap between the main wind direction and the tree at eye level. The entrances to the trap should not be blocked by branches or leaves. Each trap must be checked every 2–3 days. Each time the trap is checked, the sticky base must be cleaned of stuck insects, using an aid (for example, a branch, a wooden spatula) if necessary, in order to preserve the entire adhesive surface.

The trap should be hung before the moths start flying.
