The best trunk protection (white paint) - protection against frost cracks, bark cracks and sun necrosis on deciduous, fruit trees and other trees - for painting or spraying.

Newly transplanted trees from nurseries are suddenly exposed to intense sunlight and temperature fluctuations (alleys, single tree plantings). This increases susceptibility to "decay" and "solar necrosis".

Cortiflex® EXTRA provides ideal long-term protection for all deciduous trees, especially fruit trees. With a protection period of up to 5 years, Cortiflex® lasts longer than conventional shoe protection paints (e.g. lime coatings).

Cortiflex® EXTRA application – applied:

mechanical pre-cleaning of the bark using the abrasive fibre supplied. Then apply a generous coat of PreFlex primer to coarse barked tree species and allow to dry to the touch. No primer is required for tree species with smooth bark. Apply a base coat of Cortiflex® undiluted and coat the trunk. Apply when the temperature is above 8°C, not during rain or when rain is imminent. Setting time from 0.5 to 2 hours – very long service life!

Practical advice:

Cortiflex® can be diluted with water up to 5% to improve the spreadability. This will make the wood coating even more effective.

Clean spray devices with water immediately for later reuse or before long breaks in use.

Cortiflex® LIQUID spray:

Before spraying, the bark must be cleaned of bark and dirt, depending on the structure, using abrasive wool or a wire brush. Shake Cortiflex® well before use and apply evenly to the trunk.
